My parents have a Sorenson VP-200 using a Linksys router. My sister and I use the i-2-eye VP systems (DVC1000). I use a D-link router and my sister has a NetGear router. Recently, we've been having trouble connecting w/ our parents' Sorenson system. My sister and I have no trouble connecting to each other, my parents have no trouble connecting to other Sorenson users, and they are able to connect to the D-Link test site. When we try to call them or they try to call us, we connect but then quickly "time out" or go off. We will try several times and then it will sometimes connect but this seems very random. We both have owned our i-2-eye systems for about 2 years and have not had many problems until my parents upgraded from their Sorenson VP-100 to a VP-200. Does anyone think that these systems (the i-2-eye and the Sorenson) are incompatible? Or do you think that the problem is their Linksys router??? Does anyone have any suggestions for us! WE'RE DESPERATE!!!!!!

I had trouble installing the VP1000 on my Linksys wireless router, so I wrote to Linksys help. They responded quickly and made a number of suggestions. The suggestion that finally worked was to set the VP1000 up with a fixed IP address (one of the router addresses) and then enable the DMZ for that address. It works wonderfully.

To bad, I return my linksys and get dlink 624. sorenson help me set up, and work great! Why buy linksys?

*Many* Linksys routers, both wired and wireless do not work with videophones (Sorenson VP100 and Dlink i2eye).

Linksys do not care if your VP dont work with their router because the merket is too small for them to help you. They wont fix the bug in the routers.

Get Dlink di 604 router and plug in the DMZ.

I have a Linksys wireless router works great with D-Link DVC 1000 and Sorenson VP-100. Because I dont have cisco in my Linksys wireless router. I was told that Cisco in Linksys wireless router would not work with video conferencing device to recieve call becasue Cisco is a bug that prevent from recieve call. For the brand new router, it will be better to buy D-Link router. I have a Linksys switch device with cisco and it works fine. I guess it dont matter have cisco in switch. Thanks
