I just recently saw this set of ABC signs. I believe it’s ISL (Italian Sign Language).

Subject: RE: Letters of the Alphabet in ASL

I don’t know where I got it, but this morning I was thinking I might have used a font I found on the internet to make the image. I know that I just didn’t take somebody else’s image — that would be stealing — so I made it myself. I’ve had a couple of computer crashes since 2000, which appears to be when I made it, and I can’t find the font on my computer, even if I remembered the font’s name. I Googled “ASL font” and came up with a number of sites, which greatly surprised me. There was nothing like this much information on the topic when I made that web page.

I was wondering if you or some of your friends could help me with this. I need to make another image, but clearly I don’t know which of the many fonts out there is correct. If you don’t mind, I’d appreciate it very much if you would visit a web page to look at their font examples and let me know if there’s one that accurately represents ASL. I need a True Type font for Windows that corresponds with an American keyboard’s letters and numbers.

Here’s the web address. I had no particular reason for choosing this site other than it came up at the top of the Google search and had more than one font:

http://babel.uoregon.edu/yamada/fonts/asl.html

Here’s another site: http://deafnetmd.org/font.html – I’m thinking this looks familiar somehow. Plus, I referenced deafnet on the web page, so perhaps this is where I found it.

Thank you!
Suzanne Craig

How did this happen? Harris’s office told Database–a firm with strong Republican ties-to cast as wide a net as possible to get rid of these voters. Her minions instructed the company to include even people with “similar” names to those of the actual felons. They insisted Database check people with the same birth dates as known felons, or similar Social Security numbers; an 80 percent match of relevant information, the election office instructed, was sufficient for Database to add a voter to the ineligible list.
