In past few years, I’ve often using yellow page at Yahoo for assistant such as looking for pizza place, doctor address, all that stuff. It’s not always easy to find in this way.

Not anymore, Local Google come its unique idea and easier to search area by zip code or city. It’s really amazing that they search and putting all on list without missing anybody.

For example, I put “pizza” in ‘what’ box and put my zip code in ‘where’ box, it listed all pizza place instantly including small business such as Caesar Pizza near my house. It’s very nice.

I also tested it with different name, I put “deaf” in it and it listed like deaf club, interpreter office, school district, CSD office, etc. Few of them did not show correctly – for example: Halliburton Energy Service office, it listed with “TDD Telecommunications Device for Deaf” on their webpage. So, Local Google really thinks it’s relevant but it is not.

Of course, Yahoo now offering Local version which is similar to Local Google and it’s also list different. For example, I put “deaf” again in Local Yahoo and it shows more list including church deaf service and insurance.

Yall should use them more often when needed.
