I have witnessed this first hand. I am from Orlando. There are many events for the deaf, but the clubs are having trouble. I went to the Orlando Club for the Deaf once on Bingo night, and it was sad. There were maybe 15 people there and 90% were in their 70's or older. There was nothing there to attract a younger crowd. Coffee chats, silent weekend, and others are good, but a club would be nice too.

Mike,

Yeah, its just attention grabber subject. I guess -- they specifically talking about deaf clubs itself.

We still have deaf club & its own building in Dallas. They are still struggling today -- it's challenge.

Yes, I agreed with you that Deaf Culture is still alive -- its just little different today.

Nah, its not true that the deaf culture is fading just because we are not attending to deaf clubs in other hand, it just changing. Here in south california (also Rochester, NY), we have wide range of deaf events that there's always something going on that is related to deaf culture or deaf social every single week so I have to say that I have to disagree that it is not fading but instead it is growing.
