Family Vacation: Day 1 & 2

8 08 2005

Day One:
We arrived at Heidelberg Lodge at New Braunfels on Sunday afternoon. We were relaxing & swimming at their pool. Not much activity on rest of the day.

Day Two:
We went to go Schlitterbahn Water Park which is #1 Water Park in America. It is not our first time to attend. It’s several times and we always had good times. They do have huge parks and require riding shuttle to another side of the river. It’s really amazing that they rely exclusively freshwater from river except few areas. It’s always clean and cold.

Schlitterbahn pumps 72-degree spring water from the Comal River through some of the rides in the main park.  The water is pumped from one end of the park, circulated through several rides in Schlitterbahn West, and then flows back into the Comal River.  Click here for more information.

If you have never been there before, you should plan and attend this one someday in future. I know they now have water parks in Galveston and South Padre Island – not sure if they rely saltwater since they are close to beach.
