You practically can read about any books online at Google Print.
I did tested few like “deaf” and found many books including picture of front page. You actually can read few pages online if you wish and it’s all free but you will notice you will not able to copy it. I am sure they put some scripts in it to disable copying which is okay with me.
What’s more, you will discovered many more books that are not related to deaf but some of the books may happen to have paragraph about deaf. It’s powerful search.
For example, I found this book called Code and Other Laws of Cyberspace by Lawrence Lessig and there’s few paragraph talking about deaf, blind, and ugly. It’s neat!
Same time, there’s already lawsuit on-going: you can read full article: click here. Also, one of the blogger talked about an author upset that her publisher filed lawsuit over it with many comments. Good reading: Click here.

Most of you should know famous Rosa Parks — I remember reading history book about her at high school. Those civil rights battle back then are critical – it does impact many things over years including deaf community.

Within days, her arrest sparked a 380-day bus boycott, which led to a U.S. Supreme Court decision that desegregated her city’s public transportation. Her arrest also triggered mass demonstrations, made the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. famous, and transformed schools, workplaces and housing.

We hosted DHH DFW at Pugsley’s Library (name of sport bar & restaurant) last Saturday and it was packed and crowded!! This place is big building – I can’t image what it would be like if it was smaller. It was up to 300 people that evening.
I can tell that staffs were overwhelmed with so many people.
Also, we didn’t expect them to charge people to come in – they did it because they are having concert at late hours. Yes, few people were upset but nothing we can do because they decide last minute beyond out of our control.
We saw many new faces — many are on either vacation or just moved here from elsewhere. For some reason, DFW is getting attractive more deaf people to move here. Unfortunately, job opportunity is plenty but tough.
By the way, we had to dropped DHH DFW event at Cowboy Dance Hall due to concret conflict. We are looking elserwhere right now. Hopefully we will find another one for November.
We all had good times!!
