How to make homemade slime or silly putty

1 02 2006

How to make slimeI’ve always love to do little experiment at home with simple ingredient where you can purchase at supermarket store. I found this simple instruction from Google.

This is very easy to make and I have a lot of fun with it. My girls and I have a lot of fun!!

It can be used again and again – just store in fridge when not used.

Note: Do not buy generic glue – it did not work out good in my case. It has to be Elmer’s for best results.

Homemade slime can provide hours of fun for your children. Here’s how to make it yourself.

Difficulty: Easy

Here’s How:

  1. In a glass or ceramic bowl, add 1/2 cup water and 1 cup white glue.
  2. Stir in 4 drops food coloring if desired.
  3. In another bowl, dissolve 1/2 teaspoon borax in 1/2 cup water.
  4. Slowly add the dissolved borax mixture to the glue mixture. Stir well.
  5. When not in use, store in a tightly sealed jar.

Interesting! I will have to try that out. I am sure my son would love it. He is already addicted to play-doh.

I am writing down the recipes from your Silly Putty…
