This is perfect example – it is totally unnecessary to have hard time closing your account. I remember I had similar problem when I called some place like Comcast or T-Mobile. They can be unbelievable sometime.
This is a ridiculous. I hope AOL and others will wake up and do it right thing next time!

Few years ago I remember I called comcast thru relay center, it took me more than an hour to reach the tech support. I think comcast support is much better because I used online tech support this year.

I had hard time getting my AOL account cancelled a few years ago. I decided to call my bank telling them that I”lost” my debt card and wanted them to change the account numbers right away which they did. My AOL account had been cancelled after not receiving the electronic payment. TOO BAD!!!
