Biggest event of the year.

14th Annual Deaf Celebration (501c3 nonprofit) will host expo (day) and entertainment (evening) on October 7th at Arlington Convention Center. This is largest event of the year in Dallas and Fort Worth community.

Misty and I have attended Deaf Celebration event numbers of time. It’s always been positive and rewarding experience. If did not know about it, please grab this opportunity and attend for once. It’s only once a year. We’ve been to different expo such as Deaf Expo from California and Deaf Nation Expo in Austin — Deaf Celebration is very uniqe because it run by local people for years.

Also, if you have never involved with Deaf Celebration team before, you are missing out a lot of experience! Misty and I have been fortunate to be part of team in the past. I wouldn’t mind go back and volunteer again someday in the future. If you did not get chance to be part of this team; don’t wait – go for it! I hope you will re-consider. They always could use extra help.

Deaf Celebration has around 50 exhibitors in last five years. It’s always fun to see all different stuff during expo. Don’t forget to stop by How-to Clinic (workshop) – it’s almost always filled seats by fans. I believe they had over 1,000 fans every year in past few years. It has been overwhelming positive for everyone.

This year they are doing something different – they will host casino-style entertainment that evening. It will be a lot of fun! I’ve been to casino-style games before at conference which hosted by Texas Association of the Deaf (TAD) many years ago.

Oh yeah, I took hundreds of picture at Deaf Celebration (1998 to 2004) events which you can look it up at Deaf Celebration gallery or Deaf Network gallery.
