For me, I use EyeTV 200, it works great just like on tv and able to recording any programs with cc. I am able to burn to DVD and play back including CC. However you gotta have a mac to run it. You can check it out elgato.com. Some model do support CC and some dont. Well, I cant be much of help when you have the PCs.

For these recorded TV shows and movies that you can download off the Internet, you can often find subtitles for them on the Internet.

Just do a search. Use terms like "DIVX subtitles", "XVID subtitles", etc.

Hi,

I have ATI HD Wonder myself. You can play back closed caption on PC.

The video compression must be ATI not WMV or MPG etc. The .ATI file will include video and caption in same file. You need to go to the settings. Try it.
