Grant Laird Jr. discussed about Sprint Palm Treo 700wx (Microsoft Mobile) and its instant messenger called IM+ program.
Also, he explained between Sprint access and Verizon access — which one is better? He doesn’t know the answer. Maybe you can tell us.

IMHO, Blackberry’s Instant Messenger is the best and very reliable.
Good for you. For me, Treo 650… with Mac only. I’m thinking to buy iPhone this summer but i’m not sure about it. I need to know more about it. If it not then I would buy Treo 700 or 750 (p) Plam only.

for Treo 700p which I own, I use Mundu Messenger. It work great, much better than VeriChat since it’s cheap and pay only one-time forever. Bonus, I able to get notify for new incoming e-mail from certain such as Yahoo, Gmail, etc. Really awesome.
THAT IS A COOL PHONE YOU HAVE. IS IT MUCH BETTER THAN SIDEKICK 3 AND COVERAGE? HOW MANY MODE OF VIBRATIONS DOES IT HAVE?

Sam: I can’t find good push email program for Microsoft Mobile. Do you know any good one?
Don: Verizon remains best coverage in DFW area however Sprint (Treo) and T-Mobile (Sidekick) still run pretty good majority of the time. The Treo vibration only have one mode that I know of.
You need Exchange Server to get push/direct e-mail on your 700wx thru GoodLink program in there.
yes there is free push email service – http://www.mail2web.com it works super. i have cingular 8125 with window mobile 5.0 for over a year. i m very happy with it. i plan to replace it with 8525 next few month ebcause it has 3G. Cingular/ATT provides a special plan to deaf people – TAP (text accessibility plan) – 30 dollars per month.
what IM i use on my pda is agile messenger – http://www.agilemobile.com i did compare IM+ and other instant messenger with agile messenger. i chose agile messenger over them. it is much better in my opinion. right now mundu is developing its own IM for PDAs only. Mundu does provides mundu messenger for smartphone like Blackjack or Moto Q. check on http://www.mundu.com/wireless.

Grant, could you send me an email? I got question about your family, totally unrelated to this topic you just discussed.
Now, to the topic, well, Im an avid Sprint user, considering Vail has a very strong coverage with the cell tower placed at good stragedic places, as well as Vail’s partnership with Sprint. Therefore I use it often (as a telephone) with my co-workers on the mountain. Instant Messaging, I only use Causerie. This phone I have is a Samsung i500, and frankly its the best clam-type of cell phone Ive ever used/seen. Palm OS 4.01 version. Can’t upgrade it, but that’ s fine because it really functions well overall. Therefore Im technically stuck with older version IM softwares PDB files. And Causerie sucks in terms of payment — annual payments, but its nice because I get to have newer version that will fit with this Palm OS version. Its nice because its able to log in all converstations (well, watch it cuz it can eat up alot of space if you get lots of IMs) as well as the ability to log in AIM, Yahoo, MSN, and their bots all at once.

by the way, I would HIGHLY recommend you to check out http://www.pdaphonehome.com forum. More than likely the gurus over there will tell you which IM will work best and their cons as well. They have subsection forums to a particular models — like for me, i’ll go to i500 while youll be going to 700p forum (yes, i know its not exactly the same version as yours but its a 700 family and there’d be some sprint users there too).
