In addition, I have an alerting pager from my school secretary, but the pager does not work well. I guess that the pager is very cheap and it is easily broken. I do not use that pager often. I am fortunate that I am working in a public school system, where it is under the federal and state laws, to provide almost everything to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing employees. Been there. No fire alarm, but my work place got the signal system and I had to wear pager all the time so if something happens, the secretary has to remember to push the button in the signal system, so I could get alerted. My work place treated me very well, and fussed at me to use the pager all the times. I had to wear an alert pager and blackberry pager. Yes. Been there.
