ASL Video – Approx 3:00 Minutes Long
Grant discussed about his experience when he worked for landscape company. He didn’t realized that it’s annoying to other people (hearing co-workers) when he did edge/trim or weed-eating equipments because it was so loud. It also eat up blade or string so fast, they didn’t like it — so they moved him back to mowing only.
Same thing at home when he mowing and edge/trim — he faced same challenge but there’s nothing he can do about it.
Does anybody notice same issue, too? Just wonder…

I never thought of it. I did notice that the sound was so loud that it did not bother my husband when he tried his new riding lawnmotor for a short time yesterday. I need to warn him to lower the sound so the neighbors can stand it. Thanks for the warning! I wear hearing aid so I often turn the sound down. Hearing people can’t!
Very funny. The noise on my husband’s edger got louder everytime he used it and I told him to make sure the blade wasn’t close to the cement sidewalk or the blade would wear out so fast but he said he couldn’t help it because he couldn’t hear the noise.
Grant, your story reminds me of my own….I was helping my sister doing a promotional for her radio station…..I brought a deaf friend with me and we were to help fill the air in balloons. After doing maybe 3 or 4 balloons she asked me to stop this job and do something different because i was letting the helium air out making loud squeaks (not sure if that’s the right word) but my friend had no plm with it so he kept on filling the balloons. I figure he is hard of hearing then!
PAH, good to see you on vlogging! Yeah, my Deaf husband did sharpening the blade once in a while because of some not balancing grass, street out and my drive way front yard! Of course blades and strings are cheap to buy from the hardware store… Thanks for sharing your experience! Keep on vlogging!
