Treo 700wx & Treo 755p

Grant discussed his experience about his former Palm Treo 700wx (Windows-based) and currently Palm Treo 755p. (Palm-based) Both devices are awesome but both have somewhat differences beside operating system. (OS)
Treo 700wx’s biggest enemy is battery management – it is usually fine, as long, you do not heavily use instant messenger. Otherwise, it will last like half day. In addition, it does crash periodically. With Treo 755p, it is much simpler and better battery management. For me with instant messenger (I used Toccer), and it lasted all day with no problem.
He managed to trade his 700wx device with 755p. All is good now.
Sure, both devices have its own pro and con but apparently Treo 755p suit him better.

very interesting about treo, Few week ago i got myself a blackberry curve.. it very nice blackberry..the network work great it also pick up wi fi , for faster internet. it load the website very fast..also the best part about the blackberry.. it have a very good quality picture..it not like sidekick picture all blurring etc.. it prefect pic! it also have AIM Yahoo MSN ICQ GOOGLE TALK and blackberry messager.. i love this blackberry curve.. it really worth my money i been using 7290 blackberry for 2 year and it pretty old..and the battery is great… BUT you gotta understand.. if you want the battery not to run low quick.. have to turn the vib off for any messager, but dont turn off the vib for e mail and text.. i only have vib on e mail and text i have too many poeple sent me message on aim and yahoo….i have 2 gb sd micro memory card for blackberry curve for 24 dollar cheap! from fry’s, can load the video mp3 and my ringer tone etc..it can play video on the blackberry curve.. suck part no gps for maps :o( i am looking around to download the gps but it not free.. anyway i just wanna share this information with everyone.. and good bye SIDEKICK they have a mojar problem with network… yes blackberry network always work..it never let me down.. sidekick have let me down big time! anyway if anyone have blackberry? blackberry messager me at haroldambeau@tmo.blackberry.net hit me up! see yall around..

i still am loyal to windows mobile. lol. the battery does drain quickly because it is 3G network. if you have at&t’s mobile service, you can change high speed network to EDGE network on your mobile to save the battery’s life little longer. i dont know much about EVDO if they can be adjusted to lower speed network. however, WM6 is much better than WM5 and it does save the battery’s life little better. i believe TREO already release Windows Mobile 6 upgrading for any treo mobile.
grant, that is too bad you didnt try to update wm6 on treo 700wx from wm5 to see how different it would be, but i am happy when you are happy with your new wireless toy !
