YouTube Mobile

Grant discussed about YouTube.com Mobile — he was able to view it with his Palm Treo 755p with no problem. Right now, YouTube Mobile doesn’t support all of its videos but hopefully near in future.
Try it today!
YouTube.com Mobile: http://m.youtube.com/
Does it work on Blackberry, Sidekick and another Treo models? Let him know!

Oh well, it didn’t work for sidekickII.
the video format on youtube is 3GP, it support all mobile phone with video support.
What about BlackBerry? Can anyone who owes that boxy pager try it and let us know? Mine is Sidekick. Grrr.
I have Cingular 8125 (which is already obsoleted with windows mobile 5) - I could go to m.youtube.com and look at opening discussion of needing a big data plan, blah blah, which I have, and then saw list of menus and clicked on one about Kevin’s Hair, and then it opened up to another page, and a link to “open video” and I clicked on it and got a Microsoft Error box “The File….(name of file)… warned.. cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file.”
I’ve noticed the only video that plays is an .mp4 format that I had to download elsewhere in order to see on my pc the little videos that my cellphone plays - so I suspect YouTube is not supporting .mp4 or is not offering the choice - I noticed Sam’s comment about YouTube supporting 3GP but apparently even that doesn’t play nice with .mp4? or I would have to look around for a mobile program to d/l onto my phone to play that format??
plus the “trusted certificate” issue - there’s not really any way to tell on that. Seems like the error message is a little TOO vague…because if a person “reinstalled” the file and the certificate is messed up still then that is an issue YouTube has to come up with a fix for, since it’s their materials that need to be signed with security certificate.
So anyway, I came THIS CLOSE to buying a Treo last year when I (stupidly) bought this Cingular 8125 (it’s an HTC product)… ARRRGH next year when my contract runs out, I’m getting SOMETHING better than this!!
m.youtube.com .3GP doesn’t work with Mobile windows 6.0 on Mogul. But nice able to watch missed calls from CSDVRS video’s on pager. It’s good for me to be able to review video when I’m working out of office and able to screen my missed calls if I should go back to office or not to get back to that person. If junk call then DELETED! heh.
maybe i get TREO 775P I HOPE GET ONE FROM SANTA CLAUS SOON COMMING NEXT MONTH DEC I HEARD IT VERY GOOD SO I GET CHANCE FOR MYSELF SOON FIGURE OUT AND HOPE TERO 775P WILL WORK WITH OJO OR VP PHONE ??? LET FIND OUT LATER ON
There is no flash player available for my Blackberry 7520 - I believe that is true for all BBs not based on windows mobile.
Hey Alan, No pagers will work with vp or ojo period !!! Don’t get your hopes too high U will turn blue!!!

Hey Grant, m.youtube.com is more limited than the real http://www.youtube.com so It would be even nicer if we could access the “realworld” not the limited verison of it.

Try m.vtap.com in mobiles that support RTSP streaming, it will play most of the videos from youtube, google, dailymotion and thousands of other sites.
m.vtap.com will not work in some of the windows mobiles because most of them don’t support RTSP streaming, but you can download our software to play videos in Windows Mobiles
Visit http://www.vtap.com in IE browser in Windows Mobile 6.0 mogul, you can download and install the software OTA to play all these videos.
msdrpepper, you can update your mobile with same account if you like. personally i have at&t tilt aka 8925 with wm6. i upgraded it from 8125 last month. i had 8125 and i could see those videos from youtube.com and other. you can download some programs from http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-tcpmp-plugin-for-flash-video-v0-3.html and it can run youtube’s video on your mobile with windows mobile only.
also, you can try http://avotmv.com/ and it can run those videos on your mobile from youtube.com or google.com/video and other. it works fine too.
i have used my.orb.com on my mobile and i can get the videos from youtube.com or others through my.orb.com when my.orb.com is activited on my home pc at home plus i can acceess to there to get some files, movies, photos, or tv channels. check http://orb.com
happy day

Or you can try the website - http://www.bywifi.com
This is an article about it! http://www.downloadsquad.com/2007/12/22/bywifi-convert-and-watch-videos-on-your-mobile/
http://www.bywifi.com is a website providing 3gp videos for mobile devices! Here you can get most of the popular video clips on youtube and metacafe. And most of all, it is free! You can also enjoy the vidos online without downloading them! Have fun!
