Grant,

Of course, we, deaf people could feel POP sounds by holding the bag anyway.

RLM — You hold the bag while it’s still nuking in the microwave? How do you do that? You crawl into the microwave with it? I’d like to see how you do that…. <8-0

Lay a hand on the microwave case. You can feel the popping through it. Or watch it in the window for it to stop shaking. Some microwaves have a popcorn sensor that does it for you.

Don G,

I meant after taking out the bag and feel “poppin sounds”. I should be more clearer on this one. Thanks for pointing out this questionable aprpoach.

Many deaf people could see the bag being popped thru the glass window of microwave.

Dianrez perfectly laid out the logical means of checking out the popcorn bag being popped or not.

Deaf Pixie surely share her own wisdom about the real dangers of microwave popcorn ladded with cancer-like substances.

TY to all of you!

Deaf freindly popcorn would be huge. Until then I think you kinda have to go with the time specified instead of hearing the pops.

Easy to find out if it is not popping by putting a cry signal inside and watch the light going on and off….. :)

Funny, and you have a good point. Really, the best way to make popcorn in any microwave is to use the Popcorn button, because each microwave is configured to to popcorn properly with that button.

Popcorn is kinda a tough one for the deaf. You kinda need to go by the time instead of the pop sound. Set the microwave for the lowest recommended time setting instead of the highest.
