Disappointed with LifeLinks VRS

LifeLinks VRS

LifeLinks VRS (LLVRS) screwed up….again.

This time they finally shut down free broadband program. What’s more they did not even inform me at ALL. I found out about it thru one of my friend from another state. (See email below)

LifeLinks VRS paid my Comcast faithfully for approximately six months. My Comcast have been switched to Time Warner Cable (TWC) by no choice last month. I got a bill saying I owed $99 plus tax for hi-speed internet business package. (It was selected by LLVRS) I immediately email to LLVRS customer service twice within a week and I never heard from them. I finally called TWC and transferred account back to resident package. ($49 a month) I still owed about 2 weeks worth of business package.

Forget it; I don’t need anything from LLVRS anymore. It’s not worth.

I’ve wrote few times about LLVRS at my blogsite. It was nothing but frustration (And some positive, too) with them — click here for more details. I am sorry to say that but they don’t deserve to be in VRS business till they fix it and improve their customer service.

You still can use Sightspeed video software (pretty good stuff) without using LLVRS. Sign it up for personal use – it’s free.

Lifelinks has striven to support its program of free broadband to deaf persons through Comcast.

The program was intended for deaf people but hearing people signed on and abused our offer, using up the funding that we had budgeted for it.

Regrettably, it is necessary to discontinue the program.

You can continue to receive Comcast broadband by contracting with Comcast directly and we suggest you do so by calling the Comcast number in your area, using VRS or e-mail.

When you do so, please remember that Lifelinks VRS is available to you just as it has been in the past either by downloading the free Sightspeed software on your PC from our website – http://www.lifelinksvrs.com/ or by calling *69.18.207.166 * using your VP-100 or D-Link.

LifeLinks VRS: Follow-Up

I received this email today. I couldn’t believe they are doing it now after they announced they will shut down whole thing couple of weeks ago. Now, they decide to resume but have to do this easy instruction. I just did video mail — hopefully it will work out okay. I just wish they would have done this at first place. They really need to improve their customer service, too. We will see :)
